Sportradar Unveils Playradar to Bolster iGaming Portfolio, Appoints Edo Haitin

Sportradar, a global leader in sports technology renowned for creating immersive experiences for bettors and fans, is significantly expanding its iGaming footprint. The company announced on Tuesday the launch of Playradar, a new dedicated brand poised to deliver a fully integrated ecosystem of cross-vertical gaming experiences.

Described as an evolution of Sportradar's iGaming business, Playradar is designed to seamlessly fuse iGaming and sports betting. This innovative platform will leverage Sportradar's extensive live and historical sports data, combined with audio-visual streams, integrating these elements with casino games. The core aim is to develop unique, engaging, and thrilling hybrid products that guarantee exceptional entertainment value.

Complementing this launch, Sportradar confirmed the appointment of Edo Haitin as Executive Vice President of iGaming. Haitin, previously CEO of Playtech Live, is tasked with leading and overseeing the expansion of Sportradar's iGaming division. With over two decades of experience in live casino development, online gambling, and leadership, his expertise is deemed invaluable for navigating the business's growth.

In a press release, Haitin expressed his excitement about Playradar. He highlighted the strategy of combining Sportradar’s unrivaled sports data and live streaming capabilities with its proven product development track record. This synergy aims to create hybrid content and gaming experiences designed to capitalize on the increasing popularity of sports casino consumption. Haitin further emphasized Sportradar's unique position to blend live and historical sports events with innovative gaming mechanics and casino content, benefiting from distribution to an already licensed portfolio of operators. He concluded that Playradar would considerably strengthen Sportradar's iGaming business.

Carsten Koerl, Founder and CEO of Sportradar, underscored the iGaming vertical's importance for the company’s growth and scalability. Koerl stated that Playradar’s content is crafted to provide optimized cross-sell opportunities between sports and casinos. This approach is intended to help operators increase player value and extend session lengths, which are critical for engagement, retention, and operational sustainability in today's market.

Playradar's innovative offerings include "Live and Historical Streaming Sports/Casino Hybrid Content." These products transform real sports moments, both live and historical, into interactive events by blending sports streaming with casino mechanics, creating groundbreaking hybrid gaming experiences. These are notably backed by live prediction capabilities derived from Sportradar's live data. The brand's portfolio also encompasses "Premium iGaming content," featuring a full suite of casino games and virtual sports, along with a "Live 24/7 Experience Center" for continuous access to games, streams, and betting opportunities.
