Planet Hollywood Resorts International Marks Georgian Debut with Integrated Resort Development

Planet Hollywood Resorts International, a globally recognized entity in the entertainment, hospitality, and gaming sectors, has officially confirmed its strategic entry into the Georgian market. This significant expansion will see the establishment of the country’s inaugural integrated resort in Tbilisi, a development poised to reshape the region's tourism and economic landscape.

The venture proceeds under a newly formalized licensing agreement, a collaborative effort involving Orbi Group, Block Group, and Iconic Entertainment. The chosen location, Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital, is celebrated for its unique synthesis of contemporary vibrancy and rich historical identity, making it an ideal setting for a high-profile integrated resort.

Currently in the construction phase, the ambitious project is designed as a two-tower campus, offering a comprehensive suite of luxury amenities. It will feature a 500-room Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino, alongside a 600-room Radisson Blu Luxury Hotel, collectively providing more than 1,000 upscale accommodations. A substantial 50,000-square-foot casino will anchor the gaming experience, complemented by a versatile 4,000-seat entertainment venue. Further enhancing its appeal, the complex will integrate over 70,000 square feet of Harvey Nichols retail space, a diverse array of dining establishments, and vibrant nightlife options, all strategically designed to attract both domestic and international visitors.

Beyond its luxury offerings, the resort is anticipated to be a major economic catalyst for Georgia. Projections indicate the creation of over 2,000 permanent jobs, offering a considerable boost to local employment. The development is also expected to significantly contribute to regional economic growth, firmly positioning Tbilisi as a premier global destination for leisure and entertainment.

Robert Earl, the founder of Planet Hollywood, articulated his excitement for this new chapter. He described the initiative as a pivotal moment in the brand’s ongoing global evolution. Earl praised Tbilisi’s “extraordinary character and momentum,” emphasizing the partnership's commitment to delivering a destination that harmoniously blends entertainment, hospitality, and immersive experiences, crafted to be both ambitious in scope and authentically aligned with the local market.

Irakli Kvergelidze, CEO of Orbi Group, shared a similarly optimistic outlook. He expressed pride in bringing the Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino to Tbilisi, noting its crucial role in shaping the future of Georgia's tourism and hospitality industries.
