Downtown Las Vegas Resorts Bolster Canadian Tourism with 'At Par' Exchange Initiative

A collective of prominent Las Vegas hotel and casino properties has reported significant success in drawing international visitors, specifically from Canada, through a novel incentive. Circa Resort and Casino, The D Las Vegas, and Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, all situated in downtown Las Vegas, have observed a notable increase in patronage from their northern neighbors, attributing this surge to a specially designed financial initiative.

The cornerstone of this success is the "At Par" program, an innovative scheme that values the Canadian dollar on par with the U.S. dollar for eligible guests. This means that regardless of fluctuating daily exchange rates, Canadian visitors receive one U.S. dollar in value for every Canadian dollar spent across participating services. The program effectively eliminates a common financial hurdle for international travelers, making luxury and entertainment more accessible.

The immediate impact of the "At Par" initiative has been substantial. In its inaugural month, the program successfully drew more than 15,000 visitors from Canada to the three downtown establishments. This influx translated directly into a remarkable 2,700 hotel room bookings, underscoring the program's effectiveness in stimulating travel and hospitality engagement.

Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of Circa, The D, Golden Gate, and the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, expressed considerable enthusiasm regarding the program's early achievements. "At Par has created real momentum with our Canadian guests right out of the gate," Stevens noted in a recent press release, highlighting his personal connection to Canada. He further emphasized the program's dual benefit, stating, "Bringing a Canadian artist like Excision to Downtown Las Vegas Events Center builds on that momentum, pairing real value with major entertainment and giving Canadian guests even more reasons to plan a trip downtown."

As part of the program's extended offerings, Canadian guests have the unique opportunity to purchase tickets at par for two upcoming performances by Canadian DJ and producer, Excision. These highly anticipated shows are scheduled for April 24-25, 2026, at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, promising an elevated entertainment experience for those participating in the "At Par" program. The initiative covers various aspects of the guest experience, including gaming, hotel stays, food and beverage purchases, and entertainment options across the three partner resorts.

The "At Par" program is slated to continue attracting Canadian travelers and providing these exchange benefits through August 31, 2026, ensuring an extended period for visitors to take advantage of the favorable financial terms.
