Metallica Set to Mark Mohegan Sun Arena's 25th Anniversary with Debut Performances

Mohegan Sun Arena, a premier entertainment destination located within Connecticut's expansive Mohegan Sun resort, is poised to commemorate a significant milestone: its 25th anniversary. The celebratory event will feature two special engagements by the globally renowned, nine-time Grammy Award-winning band and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Metallica.

The iconic metal group is scheduled to perform on two distinct evenings: Thursday, November 19, 2026, and Saturday, November 21, 2026. These concerts hold particular significance as they will mark Metallica's very first appearance at the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena. Furthermore, these performances will be the band's first visit to Connecticut since 1998, generating considerable anticipation among long-time fans in the region.

Ticketing for these landmark events will commence with a Metallica Fan Club pre-sale on April 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET. This will be followed by a joint Live Nation and Mohegan Sun pre-sale on April 9, 2026. General public tickets will become available for purchase starting April 10, 2026, through Ticketmaster. Subsequently, from April 11, 2026, tickets may also be acquired directly from the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability.

Jeff Hamilton, President and General Manager of Mohegan Sun, conveyed his enthusiasm regarding the upcoming anniversary and Metallica's involvement. "Metallica's inaugural performance at Mohegan Sun Arena represents a truly special moment as we celebrate the venue's 25th anniversary," Hamilton stated. He further elaborated on the arena's impressive history, noting, "The 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena has been home to so many unforgettable moments, hosting more than 3,000 events and welcoming over 15 million guests in its history." Hamilton concluded by expressing excitement to "honor that legacy by welcoming one of the most iconic Rock bands ever and celebrating this milestone with fans."

Each performance will feature a distinct special guest. The November 19 concert, scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM, will include Suicidal Tendencies as the opening act. Two days later, the November 21 performance, also commencing at 8:00 PM, will feature Spiritbox as its special guest, promising two unique experiences for attendees.
